Achievements & Honours
Winning the 1991 World Championships as part of the 4x400m team. Breaking the British 400m Record for the 1st time on 27 July 1985. It was the Bislett Games, Oslo – 10.40pm was the time of my race! I ran 44.82 seconds, breaking David Jenkins, 10 year old record, at the age of 19. It was a huge night, I watched Steve Cram break mile WR, David Moorcroft set a WR over 5,000m. How I got started?: I first joined an athletics club aged 7, after winning sports day at Primary School. Local athletics club – Milton Keynes AC, gave out prizes at school sports day, so I found out about the club and decided to go training!
What else?: Can do rubics cubic in under 90 seconds, taught myself – when I was 13 or 14!
