Day one of World Swimming Championships and final regatta in ISAF Sailing World Cup. 16 August 2010

11 times Paralympic Champion David Roberts took Silver on the opening day of the IPC Swimming World Championships in Eindhoven on Sunday 15 August.

David finished second in the 400m Freestyle final (S7), inside his own World Record of 4:50.35, clocking a time of 4:48.11. But the Croatian Mihovil Spanja finished very strongly in 4:47.39 setting a new World Record time.

At the Sail for Gold Regatta in Weymouth, Steve Thomas was competing in the Sonar Paralympic class for GB, at the venue for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Sailing competitions.

In the final round of the ISAF Sailing World Cup, the GB team finished second behind the Netherlands, by a margin of 7 points with a total of 33. They sailed 10 races finishing on Saturday with 9 counting towards the final result.
