With eyes on glory at London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. 30 March 2011

Definitive, is pleased to announce the signing of three names from the world of athletics. Commonwealth Games heptathlon champion Louise Hazel, double 400m European Championship medallist Martyn Rooney, and IPC World Champion javelin thrower Nathan Stephens, have joined the list of top sporting individuals who are assisted and supported by Definitive, based in Cardiff.

British heptathlete Louise Hazel took the Commonwealth title in 2010 in Delhi and was also the UK 100m hurdles Champion in 2010. Meanwhile, following in the steps of Definitive’s own Jamie Baulch, 400m sprinter Martyn Rooney became British Junior record holder at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and Olympic finalist four years later in Beijing. Both athletes now have their sights set on the London 2012 Olympic Games, which is now less than 500 days away.

One of the UK’s most talented Paralympic athletes, Nathan Stephens, also joins Definitive. The javelin thrower is based in Cardiff and competed in the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing, where he reached the final but narrowly missed out on a medal. Just over two years later he struck Gold in New Zealand at the 2011 IPC World Championships in January.

The trio of new athletes mark a successful start to 2011 for Definitive Sports Management, as the business looks to support its clients as they prepare for events including the 2011 World Athletics Championships in South Korea, the 2011 Rugby World Cup and the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Definitive Sports Management is supported by a team of experienced sports lawyers at its parent company, leading Welsh law firm Dolmans, which was the legal partner and official sponsor of the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Both arms now operate from offices at One Kingsway in Cardiff city centre.
