Speaking before travelling home to the UK, Louise said:
“For my first heptathlon of the year, I am really happy to come away with the Olympic A standard and even better a big personal best!
It all looks good for the World Championships in Daegu, I know there is much more to come and I can get back into some tough training now over the next few weeks.
I was chuffed with the way I ran the hurdles in my opening event, and overall it was a great weekend of competition. The areas I need to work on are the shot putt and javelin, but it’s all going in the right direction!”
Louise will compete in the Aviva UK Trials and Championships in Birmingham from 29-31 July.
