BBC Cymru Wales Sports Personality of the Year 2011. 05 December 2011

The shortlist for BBC Cymru Wales Sports Personality of the Year 2011 has today, Monday, December 5, been announced, two of which are Definitive clients, namely Dai Greene and Nathan Stephens.

The title will be decided by public vote with the winner announced on BBC Radio Wales in a special programme with Jason Mohammad on the evening of Monday, December 12, from the awards ceremony at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea. BBC Wales Today will have coverage of the announcement at 10.25pm on BBC One Wales.

The Contenders:

Dai Greene: Dai won the 400 metres hurdles at the World Championships in Korea in September, his achievement crowning a glittering season.  Dai is also one of the contenders for the national BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2011 award.

Nathan Stephens: The Paralympian started the year on a high, winning gold in his category in the javelin in the World Championships in New Zealand and became world record holder later in the summer.
