David Weir launches new National Lottery quiz

The ultimate test of Olympic and Paralympic Games knowledge. 16 April 2010

Double Paralympic Champion David Weir, a new client of Definitive has been unveiled as an Ambassador for the National Lottery’s nationwide search for the UK’s expert in all things Olympic and Paralympic.  The Games Brain of Britain is the ultimate test of Olympic and Paralympic Games knowledge. 

The National Lottery announced the new game with just over two years to go until London 2012, a huge £500 million has already been raised by lottery players for the home Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Fronting the campaign, Dave Weir is joined by Olympic Games legend Sir Steve Redgrave, and World Champion gymnast Beth Tweddle MBE. 

The quiz is available to play online at www.national-lottery.co.uk/gamesbrain and made up of three rounds of five questions, answered against the clock.

Competitors who complete the quiz in the fastest time will be chosen to take part in a national final where they will pit their wits against each other for the chance to be crowned the Games Brain of Britain – and win a holiday of a lifetime to the Olympic Games host city of their choice.

The nationwide search for the expert in Olympic Games and Paralympic Games knowledge will take to the roads in May for a regional tour throughout the summer visiting cities across the UK including Birmingham, Sheffield, Manchester, Cardiff, London and Glasgow.
